Flower Power?

This picture went from a normal flower in a pot to one of my favorite pictures. The value in the picture to me is awesome. I burned the top, and bottom edges a bit to emphasize on the flowers. and since the flowers are white it worked out even more to stand out in the pitch darkness. I never noticed until i was done with the photo that their is a great sense of balance in this image. First the flowers are in the middle of a table, and also in between a pair of chairs and to pillars. I got lucky that i took it at that angle because i never noticed it when i took it.
My altered Photo

This picture is included in my top seven images. I took this picture for a food project we had early in the year, but once i looked at it more carefully i had a great idea. before i altered it in photoshop there weasnt as much detail and wasnt as clear. i messed around with the brightness and hue and saturation. The peaches with the red hot tips gave the picture a more artistic look you can say. the knive was next to them so i decided to stick it agaisnt the chopping board since the peaches were sliced up. this eventually ended up in my stomach =) except for the knife of course. I feel like it emphasizes alot on the peaches now since i changed it and gave it more color. also the texture was improved, it feels like their right in your grasp to eat.
My version of Olivia Parker

Air jordans and Olivia Parker? yes it's crazy but i put both of them in the same category. Since she has a picture of all white ballet shoes with the laces sort of sloppy, i decided to copy it and do my own version. Im really into sneakers and when i saw her photo of a ballet shoe i knew that i had to immitate it with my own style. the only problem was that i took this picture with a broken camera. I never got the great shot i wanted but for a broken camera i think i did a pretty good job. These shoes were brand new and not ever worn so it was sort of better so their could be no skid marks or dirt since Olivia Parkers shoe was all white with no other color.
Actress Formal

This was the actress i was put with, Jennifer. we got along real wel and i felt like i was talking and getting to know someone i already knew. This was the formal picture we took, similar to a school ID photo. since i had two of the reflector lights on i had to dim this picture down and mess with the brightness and contrast to give it more detail. Overal of the photos i took of jennifer this, and her laughter picture is my favorite. I took alot of the same shots multiple times and we both agreed this one was one of the best.
Self Portrait

I gave my friends my camera a couple of weekends ago and told them to take a picture of me when i least expected it. I was showing off the guns at my friends house when he had some people over! i was caught in the act of being a real show off! but really i was joking around andi thought it would be the perfect picture to put up since im always loud and having a good time trying to make people laugh
Candid

Scanner

Scanner art was something the whole class was new too. So we all tried our best on these scanned images. I used my opurtunity to sort of put something up about myself. i put the sneaker on the dollar bill since im a "sneaker head" along with the forty niner stamps. and toy cars to show my interest in cars. Also i brought in my book "city kid" because its one of my favorite memoirs. Those coins you see are pesos, mexican currency to show my herritage. this project overall was my favorite since we got to spend alot of time on it.
Unity

Alot of things can be said about this simple photo, but to me it mostly brings unity. All the little peppers are put into one fiery red mix in this white bowl. Unity is the principle I used for this photo, the peppers had this bright fiery color and i saw them all in a all white bowl so it caught my attention and i had to take a picture of it in my kitchen. Even with the green tops, the peppers are unified.
Texture
Ansel Adams

This is the image I chose for my ansel adams picture. It's one of the pictures i have taken that i am most proud of. Even when i see this photo i feel like it could actually be one of his photos taken. I took a ton of photos that day and most were pretty good, but this is one i was most proud of. the value is what makes it such a good photo, since ansel adams mostly took outdoor photos in greyscale.
